About Kitsap Roofing

Kitsap Roofing is more than just a roofing company. It is the continuation of a family legacy. Originally founded in 1977 by Kim and Kathy Gonzer, the business was built on hard work, integrity, and a deep care for the community. After nearly five decades of dedication, Kim was finally able to retire, and in March 2025, Megan and Zac Fain purchased the company with a commitment to preserving its values. They were able to keep the same trusted crew, including lead man Mike Coker, who has been with the company for over 17 years, alongside his son Nate, who joined three years ago. Carrying the tradition forward, Megan and Zac’s two oldest sons, Christian and Michael, have also joined the team, making Kitsap Roofing not only a business but a true family endeavor.

Zac brings over twenty years of experience in the roofing supply industry, where he started out as a driver and worked his way up to managing a store. After years of helping other contractors find the right materials and solutions, he and Megan decided it was time to build something of their own. Together, they created Kitsap Roofing with the vision of passing it down to their four sons.

The Kitsap Roofing logo features the Brothers in the Olympic Mountains, a landmark that reminds them of home in Kitsap County. For their family, it symbolizes strength, stability, and the future they are building together. Every roof they work on is a reflection of those same values.
